Laksa is a traditional dish loved by many and there are many styles, such as Singapore style and Penang style.

Singapore style is more soupy with ingredients such as coconut milk, chicken or pork, curry, chili, black and white pepper. The dish serves with bean spouts, bean curd and fish cakes with rice noodles.

Rice noodle is used in this dish. The most traditional way to eat is to use a spoon (no chopsticks) as the rice noodle is cut into short streaks.

Only a few places in Singapore cook the dish with traditional method.

There is a cluster of eateries at Katong in the eastern part of Singapore.

Most of the time, the rice noodles is not cut and you have to eat it like other noodles, using chopsticks.
